Default Swastika Decals.

Wondering where I can get some for my new 650mm BF-109. I think the Parkzone ones will be too big so that is not an option.

I do not intend this to be a swastika political debate thread.

I was just wondering if there is anywhere that sells something I could use.

Just FYI, it would go on this.

Have you searched some of the plastic model sticker (decal?) suppliers? i don't know them well, but I know they are out there, and probably have a wide variety available.

Many are water slide decals. Would that work on foam?

Easy enough to cut your own the size desired from Monokote trim sheet...

One of the simplest graphics to cut.

Ebay ... Hobby King ... there are lots of places online on Ebay and HK have them in the hardware listing.

I have a Graphics Shop in town that makes whatever I want ... I create a PC graphic .. put on a USB stick ... take to them ... couple days later I have in my hand for peanuts. I can make many of them with vinyl etc. - but given their prices and quality ... no contest.

Last order was :

4 x 5" RAF roundels
16 x 2" RAF roundels
8 large USAF
Various text decals ... ROYAL AIR FORCE ... RC-LV .... NCL-GB .... (8 of each)

Total price $6

Two types ...

Normal vinyl self-adhesive with clear border.

and

type that has backing ... where you peel away one side leaving letters / decal on the face tape ... you then place in position and rub the tape transferring the thin vinyl to the model. Peel away carefully the face tape - leaving the decals behind. These have no border and are thinnest giving best look.

They will also create water-slide if I want ... but with foamies - I prefer the above two types as more resistant to rash etc.

My Red Arrows here has both types :

Wow looks like I have several options. I'd prefer the vinyl type but I'll do some looking.

What you could do is copy the file to a USB stick ... go to a Graphics shop ... tell them the size you want for each part ... they will then create for you in the format you require. The graphic is actually for a FW190 ... but the basics are same.

If you have difficulty getting the graphic from the attached .. then PM me your email and I will send you the graphic file - do not put any email address on open post - bots can pick it up and then you receive auto-spam ... I have other graphics as well ... see below.

Where can you get waterslide paper?

Will it work with any inkjet?

I got a few sheets from a club member. Google it. Ink Jet will work . Laser is better. I also use decal sheets found at Staples. Can get white or clear. These are sticky as in stickers. In the end, Callie makes the best graphics around. She did my Cessna 310 and it turned out gorgeous. Viinyl is the way to go but the others work fine too.

I'm not the best at applying decals. Always seem to get goobered up in one way or another.

I did not see just a swastika on the Callie site so I guess I would have to special order it, which I may end up doing on payday.

I'd love to have the Hartmann black tulip on the nose. But he flew the 109G and mine is a 109E so it would not look right anyway.

I saw some swaztika's at my LHS. A carded item where they keep the decals. Had numerous sizes in the package.

Just send her an email. Most people don't advertize Swaztika'a Might be mis-construed as a Tea Party memer and then the IRS will be all over you.

Only some real 109 experts would see the difference between the G and E... and then they still might not know which one Hartmann flew...

If you use the printer type decals it's best to give them a top coat of clear paint.
One or two LIGHT coats of clear will make em last longer and not smear.
